Alzheimer's Australia WA has launched a new Brain Fitness initiative aimed at helping you to think faster, focus better and remember more. Read more.


The Iris Appleyard Foundation aims to provide extra care for people living with dementia. Funds raised through the Foundation will enable Alzheimer's Australia WA to provide supplementary care that is currently unfunded by the government. Click here to find out more.

The Living with Memory Loss Program is specifically designed for people in the early stages of Alzheimers disease or another dementia.

Alzheimer's Australia WA has a range of respite services to suit the needs of different individuals. Our respite arrangements are flexible and are guided by a "person-centred care" philosophy.

  • Impact of dementia on lesbians and gay men


     Mon November 16th 2009
    A new paper, commissioned by Alzheimer`s Australia, has found a widespread lack of understanding of lesbians and gay men diagnosed with dementia or caring for a partner with dementia. The paper, "Dementia, Lesbians and Gay Men", which is the first of its kind in the aged care sector, will be officially released today at 10am by the Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Minister for Health, Roger Cook MLA at the Alzheimer`s Australia WA head office located in Shenton Park.   [view file]
