People with dementiaPeople who have been diagnosed with dementia of any kind now have the opportunity to attend the Living With Memory Loss course and support groups to help them learn about the condition and to communicate with others who are facing similar issues.

Family Carers & FriendsMany people with dementia are cared for at home for many years by family and friends. It is often a difficult job to take on and carers need up-to-date and relevant information to help them understand what is happening and how to cope.

Care workersCare workers share the caring role with families and friends and therefore need support and understanding in this demanding role.

General publicOur vision at Alzheimer's Australia WA is to create a widespread wareness and acceptance of dementia through education and advocacy. As such, an information service about the difference between normal memory loss and dementia, is available to the general public through the Education Services department.

Education in rural & remote areasFamily carers and care workers in rural regions of WA often miss out on education opportunities. However, Alzheimer's Australia WA is committed to working with local community and health agencies to provide dementia education throughout the State.

Cost of Education ServicesEducation sessions are FREE for all family carers.
