This experiential workshop will offer an opportunity for participants to work with a wide variety of art materials and to feel more confident in offering a creative expression program for people with dementia. Participants in this workshop will gain an understanding of: · How to set up and organise a therapeutic art group whilst addressing physical and psychological safety; ·How to choose suitable, good quality art materials and stay within a budget; and · How to identify appropriate themes and activities. Who should attend this workshop? Anyone working in aged, community or health care and involved in planning or providing care for people with dementia.
