Family Carers & Friends

Many people with dementia are cared for at home for many years by family and friends.  It is often a difficult job to take on and carers need up-to-date and relevant information to help them understand what is happening and how to cope. 

Family members and friends who care for someone with dementia can contact us for more information about the disease and some positive approaches to dealing with the day-to-day issues that they may face. 

The Library allows carers to take home books, videos, audio tapes and activities to provide more strategies and to share with their families.  Member of the public are welcome to browse our online library but borrowing materials from the library is restricted to members of the organisation.  However, individual membership is free and we encourage you to make use of this important service.
