Albany MDRT

The Albany Mobile Dementia Regional Team (MDRT) began in September 2000 to meet the overwhelming need for respite services in Albany and its surrounding areas. The team now services communities living in the Lower and Central Great Southern areas – from Walpole to Bremer Bay and across to Katanning. 

Services
Specialist staff will understake visits to the family home in order to assess and clearly identify the individual care-needs of the carer and person with dementia.  During these visits the focus will be on any identified behaviours of concern and the development of strategies and practical interventions to assist in the care of the person with dementia.  Education, support and specialist information is also available and offered to families.
